New CC and now can't search via keywords

New Here ,
Nov 05, 2018 Nov 05, 2018

I have downloaded the latest version of LR CC and now I can't search images via keywords.  It use to be a search via text above the library, but now that's all gone.  I found some of the filtering down in the lower right hand corner.   No keyword search available,

Any guidance would be great.

Actually, upon rereading the thread, I'm not sure whether you're referring to the cloud-based Lightroom CC or to Lightroom Classic CC, so I won't move this post yet. If you're referring to Classic CC, then once in Grid view, go to View>Show Filter Bar to reveal it.

If you really have the brand new product named Lightroom CC, I believe that is correct.

If you really want the similarly named but very different Lightroom Classic CC, in which you can search by keywords, then you have downloaded the wrong software. Lightroom Classic CC is the successor to Lightroom 5, Lightroom 6, etc. and Lightroom CC is not, it is entirely new.

I've been running LR Classic CC for well over a year now, so I know it's legit.

Why would they take the keyword search away as that's one of the true key features of Adobe?   I have a major assignment to do and everything is keyworded.  For me to go thru 5000 images over a two week span just to find 25 files that's going to take a while and time is money as we know.

The search feature in the cloud-based Lightroom CC is still there, where you can search "keyword: apples", and you can also use filtering (the funnel icon) by keyword.  Search only works with an internet connection; filtering works regardless.

Can you please provide a screenshot showing the whole LR interface, in grid view (G)?
