I am running Lightroom 2.3 in OS XP. Id I upgrade the OS to 7 will my present version work? If do not work - what are my options?

LR2 works fine on Windows 7. However, if you are indeed still using 2.3, I would recommend using the free upgrade to 2.7, which was the last dot release before the introduction of LR3.
