Patches of red color in sky [was: Help!]

Help! Newish user here. Can anyone tell me why this is happening to the sky in most of the pics from this session? There also appears to be a "glow" near the subjects. Is it my camera or something in LR?

You are using Lightroom Classic but have posted in Lightroom Ecosystem. I will move you to the correct forum. You are seeing Highlight Clipping warnings.  Use the [ J ] shortcut cut to turn these off, or you can click the small triangles at either end, above the Histogram.

The red color is a highlight clipping warning. You can turn it off by pressing J, which will also turn off the shadows clipping warning, which is blue. Alternatively, click the icons in the top corners of the histogram.

The apparent halos are just areas close to the heads where highlights are not clipped.

Dragging the Highlights slider to the left may recover some tone and detail in the sky.

The clipping indicators in Lightroom Classic are a great tool to assist your photo editing. It's worthwhile learning how to use them.
