Version 13.0.2
Sonoma 14.1.1 + M3 Max
For specific collections within my catalog, photos appear in the preview and navigation bar with the correct edits. Once I select a photo, it reverts to the original and the edits are instantly removed. However, the edits are all visible in history. If I select the most recent edit then I have the correct, edited version back and it will remain back. The headache is having to do this every single time and the fear that this a symptom of a more serious problem.
A few additional pieces of context.
- I've been using the same lightroom classic catalog for several years, and I've never encountered this issue
- I recently transitioned to a new computer (M1 Max to M3 Max) and used the migration assistant, logged in to the same creative cloud account, so everything should be the same.
- This is not happening in any of the synced collections, and is not happening in most collections (I have dozens).
- It is happening in a handful of 2023 collections and does not happen to every photo in a collection where the issue is noticeable
- If I export a photo after I have clicked on it, it exports without the correct edits. If I select the most recent history edit and then export, all is correct.

Additional context:
- If I open a backup of the collection (about a month old, prior to migrating from the M1 to M3 MacBook pro) this issue does not happen. Worst case scenario, I can abandon my current catalog and revert to this backup. But that's probably 80hrs of work that I would be abandoning and I'd be concerned the same issue will surface again.

A more recent backup from November 30 replicates the issue. I am also presented with an error message "There was an unknown error while writing metadata to this photo. Retry?
The November 30th backup would have been the first backup after migrating from the old M1 to M3. So the migration must be the issue. Is there any hope of salvaging this or is my best option to revert to the November 15th (pre-migration) backup?
