Photoshop 2023 freezing when file sent from Lightroom Classic

New Here ,

Today my raw files sent from lightroom classic (V24.0.1) will not open in photoshop 2023 (v 24.0.1).

Photoshop gets to the opening screen and then freezes. Only way out is ctrl-Alt-Del through Windows Task Manager.

I have uninstalled and re-installed both programmes through Adobe Creative Cloud using the "keep" presets etc option.

Both programmes work as stand alone. Only started today and according to Creative Cloud have not been updated for a few weeks

When the 'link' between Lightroom Classic and Photoshop has issues, one of the first things to try is this:
1. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud application to uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic and when asked, do not keep preferences (due to the crash; usually, you can keep them).
2. Install Photoshop first, then Lightroom Classic.
Better?

OK thanks for the suggestion. I will try that when I get home. Did do a re-install but chose to keep presets etc last time

That seemed to do the trick - thank you.
