Photowindow & UI Background Colour changes - Is LR auto colour correcting?

I have 2 monitors, calibrated. on is sRGB, the other Adobe RGB 100%

I noticed on my Adobe monitor, that the background UI had a slight green tint to it when it was one of the grey options, most noticebale on "darker gray" I checked if this was a calibration issue by eyedropping the colour in photoshop, and it does indeed have a green bias in it's colour value. The panels don't change colour, just the image background. P/S doesn't seem to do this, and it's clear how green it is if I copy and paste a screen shot into photoshop.

I did the same thing on my secondary sRGB monitor, it too had a grey with colour variation, but not as obvious as it had a little bit of green and red, to a lesser extent than what I was noticing on the Adobe monitor.

I also noticed this was a lightroom Classic software thing, as when you drag the window from one monitor to the other, or even better, half on half, the moment you release the mouse, all the colours change. I can understand this being the case if it was some technique to reduce the load on the computer when moving windows, but the same doesn't happen when simply moving on one monitor.

What I don't understand, is what is going on here? Lightroom seems to be swapping between colour profiles when changing screen, and localising that change the image window, including the image itself. The changes on the image are also pretty drastic, even with a soft proofing sRGB profile. That drastic change, at leas to the image, tends to  be removed once you let go of the mouse when moving screen

The fact I can use the eye dropper to detect the colour variations, to me implies that this isn't a monitor calibration issue, but rather lightroom is implementing colour correction for some reason?

Interestingly this doesn't seem to be the case with Lightroom CC - there is snap to the colour that changes on the image when moving monitor and releasing the mouse, but nothing on the UI.

I'd really appreciate any insight into what is going on, both on the UI, as well as the image when moving monitors.

And what can be done to fix the green tint showing up in only Lightroom Classic
