png files not importing to Lightroom Classic

Community Beginner ,
Feb 11, 2022 Feb 11, 2022

I'm using Lightroom Classic 11.2 and trying to import some png files from my computer hard drive.  LR does not even recognise that they exist - it says there are no photos in that folder.

Help please!

Hi there,

We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom Classic. Would you mind sharing the version of the operating system you are using? Since when have you been seeing this issue? Also, is it happening with some specific images or all images?

Have you tried resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic? If not, try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic by:  https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

Backup your preferences before resetting by: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
