Our agency recently upgraded our server and all computers. I wasn't involved firsthand in that, and now I've found several issues in Lightroom.
Our photo library currently holds more than 293,000 photos. Those files were copied to the new server with the same folder structure (year --> date --> file). No one involved knew how to relink everything in one click, so one person started linking one collection at a time. I was asked to get involved and figured out how to do a batch relink.
However, several things aren't right as seen in the attached photos which I'll explain.
The computer is a Mac Studio 2023 with the Apple M2 Ultra chip. The OS is Sonoma 14.7, and Lightroom is on version 14.0.1.
Any insight or ideas welcome.

Batch re-link: see Figure 4 and associated text here https://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm
you can re-link the entire disk by performing "Find Missing Folders" on the parent folder and all sub-folders will be re-linked. Note: you can't do this by collections, only by folders. I would strongly advise you find a backup catalog from just before the server migration, open that backup, and then apply the above stated method to that backup.
Some of the other problems indicates to me that photos were re-imported or improperly linked. Or maybe there are connectivity problems with the new server. Or maybe the new server is malfunctioning.
Other problems are unrelated to the re-linking.

Thank you, that's how I relinked everything once I got involved. Something's still not right though. I made new screenshots for a particular photo we were dealing with today.
It says "File not found" but knows it's in folder "2024-08-07".
That folder is not missing or unlinked.
Also, the exclamation mark icon that identifies missing photos is not present on this one - or any others that say "File not found".
One other thing we discovered today using the same computer - if you're in Premiere and select "Show in Finder", the file pops up almost instantaneously. The same procedure in Lightroom takes about 2 minutes. Is there some specific way to check/test the connection between Lightroom and the new server?
Thank you!

Regarding your first screen capture, the information is read into LrC's database at the time of Import. Even if the file is not where it is supposed to be, LrC can display capture date/time.
Regarding your 2nd screen capture, the folder can be present and not missing in LrC, but photos can still be missing. Then you go on to say there is no exclamation point icon on the photos, but your screen capture is so tightly cropped that we can't be sure of this. Please show us a screen capture where we can see the whether or not a missing photo icon is present.
Regarding the folder where this photo is stored, do you have thousands of photos in this folder?
Regarding Premiere, this is irrelevant to any LrC problems.

My screen captures had been limited based on NDAs we have with clients. But these don't have any sensitive info.
As you'll see, no exclamation points even though the selected photo says "File not found". Please note these photos were taken 2 years apart, so they're in different LR collections and server folders.
And I'm including a screenshot of photos known to be missing to demonstrate the exclamation point does show up. I just haven't relinked these since the server migration.
I discovered today that, after we export a "File not found" photo, that message is replaced by the appopriate data (file size). However, getting them to export takes longer than normal so this "File not found" message still seems to be causing some problem.
And I had a new idea. I learned today the server company installed Lightroom Classic v14 on the new computer prior to shipping. We then copied our last Lightroom catalog backup from the old computer to the new one. That version of Lightroom was 11.5. Could jumping so many versions possibly have caused these problems?
Thank you again for staying up to date on this.

Reading your posts carefully, I think this all boils down to a server that is very slow in responding to Lightroom requests. No, your 'jump upgrade' of the catalog did not cause this. No, as I already explained in the Lightroomqueen forums, there is no problem with the collections. You are looking at/for the wrong badge, and you do not realize that Lightroom will only show other collections in that 'Go to collection' menu, not the collection you are already in. That just makes sense. There is nothing to 'go to' if you are already in the one and only collection this image is in.
So what remains is this 'File not found', but clearly Lightroom knows where it is, can export it and can edit it. I think this 'file not found' is a glitch because Lightroom times out trying to read the file size, so it can't display it. That would also explain why it does display the file size and no longer 'file not found' after you have exported the image.

I started to suspect the server response earlier this week. I have no server experience; heck, I'm pretty much self-taught with Lightroom. So how can we check the server connection to Lightroom? Are there targets or specific values we should look for in certain metrics?
Thank you!

I'm not a server expert either. Perhaps ask the people who installed the new server?
