How do I add text to a photo in lightroom?

I asked this 3 months ago and got no good solutions. I think the cheapest may be to finish everything you need to do on the image and then export it to Picassa where you can add text. I wanted to add names to bird pics like I did in Picassa for years. Photoshop is another option but if that is all you need then it is very expensive not to mention a steep lerning curve.

There is no built-in way to add text to an image in Lightroom, other than a "watermark" which you can add on export.
There are plugins that allow you to add text to an image on export, such as Mogrify 2 http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrmogrify2.php

LR/Mogrify2 (well-known plug-in for Lightroom) has the capability to add text, either free-form of using metadata tokens such as Title, Caption etc., as well as the ability to add borders (which it is probably best known for).

And depending on what text you want and where on the image it can be done in the Print Module on the Slideshow Module and exported as a jpeg.
