So, I'm using the new Windows Copilot Surface.
Been waiting for an update to fix the "Edit in photoshop" which doesn't work. It opens up Photoshop and no files open.
So, I install the new LRC update and the fix seems to have been to actually remove te feature lol. Now, "Edit in photoshop" options are grayed out. Uninstalled PS / reinstalled. Didn't fix. Uninstalled both / re-installed both, didn't fix. Found an article aout editing the registry and adding the PS path, etc. But it was already there. I deleted it and re-added it per the article and didn't fix.
So... it's broke. Still. Just kinda different.

new Windows Copilot Surface.
So this computer is it a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU? As such, not exactly supported yet in LrC??
Uninstalled PS / reinstalled. Didn't fix. Uninstalled both / re-installed both, didn't fix.
When you accomplished that, did you follow this step by step procedure (the order is important)
note1: in some very bad cases, members found it necessary to remove the preferences when removing PS
note 2, if you installLrC before installing PS, this will fail.

Hi @JuniorJr ,
When Edit in Photoshop is greyed out, it can also mean that the Photoshop installation has not been detected yet(from Lightroom Classic).
Even after installing Photoshop, if you see this option is greyed out in Lightroom Classic, I would suggest you to open Photoshop seperately and then close it. This action will help Lightroom to detect that Photoshop is installed in the machine.

Hi.
Thank you.
Yes, i tried that. A few times. Also the uninstall of both, re-install (did this teice both doing LR first, then doing it with PS first)
I also did 'with another app' and pointed it to PS.exe to see if that help, and it didn't. It worked, but i need LR to see PS because I need top 'edit in PS as layers'.
Thank you though.

Now, "Edit in photoshop" options are grayed out.
Just to make sure. The image selected was not one that is missing, correct?

Ok, confused
Do you now have the ability to click on Edit in Photoshop?
Or are you now talking about not able to Open as layers in Photoshop (as seen in the above screenshot)?
As for Open as layers in Photoshop, that would be for multiple selections.
Perhaps you want to Open as Smart Object in Photoshop

Can you please share the screenshot of what you see in Lightroom Preferences-> External Editing?
So is this computer a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU?
