Raw FujiFilm Problem on Denoise AI Lr and LrC for Windows

New Here ,
May 29, 2024 May 29, 2024

When using the AI noise reduction feature, some pink dots and gray squares appear in the processed photos. The problem occurs with Fujifilm RAW files, even converted to DNG. All drivers and applications updated and tested in different versions. GPU resources (RTX 3060) whether turned on or off, have the same problem. In Lightroom classic or web for MAC, this does not happen, only with Windows 11 Pro.

Tested with files Fuji XT2, XT3 and XH2.

Yes, in both modules. Even in the preview window of the Denoise AI tool, when dragging the photo (pan), sometimes some pink artifacts also appear.

The setting Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor doesn't affect any of the AI commands, including Denoise. (Adobe inexplicably refuses to have the AI commands obey that setting.)

To start narrowing down the problem, please upload a couple pairs of the original raws and the generated DNGs to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar and post the sharing link here. We can see if the issue occurs on other installations.

After testing several drivers, some from previous years, I found a better result using Nvidia DCH 532.10. It didn't solve the problem, as some photos still have some kind of artifact, but it improved 90%. Here's an example of an underexposed photo with half a light stop and ISO 6400 processed with Lightroom's AI Denoise.

See the Pink and Gray Artifact. For every 100 photos processed in batch, about 8 or 10 appear this. Remember that this is the Driver with the best result, the current versions end up ruining all the photos.
