I'v recently purchased a new iMac. My old iMac is still running a licensed version of lightroom, but this machine has gotten to slow. I'd like to use it on my new iMac. My iMac supplier has moved all the data and software from my old iMac onto my new iMac. But on my new iMac, every time I open Lightroom, I've being asked to start a trial or to purchase lightroom. I've purchased lightroom in a shop in Belgium in 07/2016 and still have the invoice. But meanwhile I've lost my CD-rom, so also my license number or redemption code is lost or whatever is needed to activate it again. For all my other software I still have my CD-rom and activation codes, but this one somehow has gotten lost.
What should I do to get this software running again on my new iMac?
I'm running Mac OS sierra
Thanks a lot ! in advance.

OK, Thanks everyone for the much appreciated help!
I finally called Adobe in Brussels. The contact phone number is there on the website but, to me, very well hidden. Now I know where to look for it, I can not understand how I overlooked it. But anyway I've gotten a friendly English speaking man on the phone and he helped me to activate it again in a few minutes it was solved.
They mailed the correct code to me. I make sure I have it stored in several locations now.
Thanks again to all!

@ WobertC : When I follow the instructions from you.
"On Macs the registration file resides in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
Go to Finder, hit command-shift-G and paste the above from the tilde to Lightroom in the dialog and you'll see it. If you open that file with TextEdit, you'll see that it is a simple xml file with the serial no clearly marked."
I get into a lightroom directory but, as mentioned before, there is only presets in it. No Lightroom 6.0 Registration file.
So I think this must be the correct directory.

I don't have a folder name "lightroom" at the end of the URL. I have a folder named "lightroom AMT"
I must be doing something wrong.
I'm pretty sure you're looking in the wrong Library.....there's a system "Library", and a user "Library".....and it's in this last one that you should find the registration file. But it's hidden by default, so in Finder, click on the Go menu then press and hold the Option key, and you should see the Library item appear in the list. Click on it and go to Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom and you should then see the Registration file.

@ Jim Wilde : Thanks a lot for your answer. Another thing has gotten clear to me. On my Mac it is the shift key that makes library appear.
But as mentioned in two answers back. There's only presets, no Lightroom 6.0 Registration or anything likewise.
Isn't there another way to get my my license number? I can find other codes, maybe I can send these to adobe and get my license back?

Just to confirm, it is the old system that you're looking for the registration data on, yes?
If the file isn't there, which seems somewhat odd if the program is still running, then you'll need to speak to Adobe to try to get a valid serial number. If you still have the invoice they may accept that, but they also may not. IIRC, if you do Help>System Info in Lightroom on the old system, you should see the first 20 digits of the serial number, with just the last 4 showing as "XXXX".....if you can provide the first 20 plus the invoice, that might strengthen your case.
Sorry, but I don't know what else to suggest.

Ok, thanks al lot, I'll try that. But where can I find anything from a e-mail, or phone number for Adobe. They keep it very well hidden. Or how can I provide them this information?
Ik looked in that folder System Info. I can see I have (Licentie : onbeperkt) translated in English, License unlimited.
That one of the first places I'v been looking for the license. It is not there. I just don't get it.
