Renamed file in finder - can't open/find in LRC

I would very much appreciate help to open/find correct catalog.

You may want to rename the supporting files and folders to match your renamed catalog so that they don't need to be recreated.

In Finder, double-click the newly named catalog.

Or from inside LR, from the menu /file/open , then select the newly named catalog.

Most people would recommend you use one catalog for all your photos, and then to use keywords or other Lightroom Classic to separate the photos. There are many many many advantages to having one catalog, one of which is there is no need to rename it or to then have to find it after you rename it.

I only had one catalog that I worked on. But I was stupid enough to rename the catalog in Finder when LRC was closed. Now I can't find the catalog.

We probably need a better explanation of what you mean by "cannot find".

Using Finder, is the LrCat file that you renamed still in the folder that it was originally in?
