Built a new computer running Windows 11 Pro with Intel Ultra 9 285k chip 64GB ram and Nvidia RTX5070Ti 16GB; 2TB C drive, 2TB D drive. I am getting repeated screen freezes in LRC and PS beta and have to reboot to restore. Graphics Card and all software is up to date. I disabled the Windows compatability group as suggested. Still having issues. If you have had these issues and resolved them, I need some suggestions please.

Reboot means your computer has frozen, not LrC. This happens because either you have a bad driver somewhere, or a hardware malfunction somewhere. Reinstall the latest version of your graphics driver, and make sure it is the Studio driver and not the Game Ready driver. If that doesn't work, you will probably have to start checking your hardware for malfunctions.

Thanks DJ, I did that. I also installed the latest bios from Nvidia. I have tried everything that everyone has kindly suggested except run in safe mode. I will update what happens today.

Its hard to imagine that running in Safe Mode will fix the problem, but it couldn't hurt to try it. Then next step is to identify hardware malfunctions.

Hey, @TxRanger. Thanks for adding the system info. As @dj_paige suggested, the issue appears to be broader than either Photoshop, or Lightroom Classic.
WHEA_Uncorrectable error (0x124) this stop code as per a quick internet search points to a fatal hardware error, indicating a problem with components like the CPU, RAM, motherboard, or storage devices.
Please investigate this issue with assistance from the hardware manufacturer.
Thanks!

Hi @TxRanger
Sorry to hear about this experience. I agree with what @dj_paige mentioned. However, since you’ve mentioned you’re using a new computer, could you please go to the Help menu and share your System Info? This will help us rule out any hardware-related issues.
Additionally, try launching your system in Safe Mode to see if that helps improve performance.
Also, the newly launched Photoshop 27.0 update is available in the Creative Cloud Desktop app. If you haven’t already, please install it and let us know how it performs.
Regards,
Srishti

Computer froze in Photoshop beta. Screen went black and displayed the following message at the bottom. Had to manually turn off the computer as everything was frozen.
