What is the best way to reset / revert all develop settings from photos from the SDK.

I know that there is the LrDevelopController.resetAllDevelopAdjustments(), but I don't like the idea to make photos active. The user might interfere and then the outcome would be highly unwanted.

You could display a modal progress bar (LrDialogs.showModalProgressDialog) while processing the photos -- that would prevent the user from doing anything. You could use photo:applyDevelopSettings() to change all of the develop settings to 0.  But this wouldn't be the same as the Reset button, since Reset sets the photos values to the default settings for that photo, which depends on the settings Preferences > Presets, and there's no SDK method for accessing those settings.
