I have been scanning a lot of old photos and loading them into Lightroom Classic and then publishing them on SmugMug. I have had a couple of times where the plugin apparently gets lost and I have had to go through all sorts of hoops to find the plugin file and load it in to the PlugIn manager. I am using the 11.0.1 version of Lightroom Classic and 3.2.6.0 SmugMug plugin. I am running on Windows 11. When I just try to install the SmugMug plugin it takes me to a random page on Adobe and using the creative cloud tools tells me that the plugin is installed. I have 90,000 or so images on SmugMug so I don't want that investment of time and energy to disappear.

In LrC, bring up the Plug-in Manager, scroll down to Smugmug.
1. Is any error message shown
2. Is any notice about an update shown?
3. Where does the manager state the plug-in is located? Is their something odd about that location, something unlike other plug-ins? Like a hard drive that goes asleeo or gets disconnected?
4. Note location for the various plug-ins, would be a folder to keep backups of.
