Soft Proofing Option is missing

New Here ,
Oct 02, 2018 Oct 02, 2018

I'm on a Windows 10 machine, using Lightroom ver 7.5 Classic CC, desktop. In Develop module, there is no Soft Proof button to choose. Installed printer is Epson P800. When I'm in print module, I do see my paper profiles.

Thanks for any help

Hi Nupilot,

You will find the soft proofing option in the develop module.

Refer the below screenshot:

This button appears on the Toolbar (below main window) and this may be currently hidden: in which case, press T to reveal.

Furthermore, the Toolbar allows the user to choose which functions show: at the right hand end of the Toolbar is a downward pointing arrow. Click this and in the menu that opens, make sure that 'Soft Proofing' is checked.

Or just press S, as D Fosse's post!

Just in case you think you have to memorize all these keyboard shortcuts, you don't. Even if you can't see the Soft Proofing button and can't remember the keys, you can always go up to the menu bar and choose View > Soft Proofing > Show Proof.

Thanks to all for your help. I must’ve hit “T” at some point in the past to toggle off the Soft Proof button.

Cheers!

Tina
