A lot more detail is needed. Are you using Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)? What version NUMBER? Are these photos viewable outside of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic? What camera make and model took these photos? Are they JPG or RAW or something else?

Screen captures would be helpful. Use the Insert Photos icon dj_paige_0-1748354940800.jpeg to include your screen capture in your reply.

  1. Can you locate these photos in Windows Explorer?
  2. Are these photos viewable outside of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic?
  3. What camera make and model took these photos?

Also, what is the "recommended way"?

I can't find them anywhere else but I would be able to find them on the
card from the camera. I have a Nikon Z7ii.

LrC thinks the photos should be in a specific folder. You can find the name of the folder in the Metadata panel. So copy the photos from the camera card to that exact folder, using Windows Explorer.

Hi, thanks for reaching out!

Apart from the information that Dj_Paige asked for, please let us know the version of Windows you're working on. Are the images saved on an external drive or your computer's local storage? Are they RAW or Jpeg?

We're here to help, just need some more info!
Thanks,
Nikunj
