Hmm, in the back of my mind, I think I ran into that myself.
In the Develop module, you might try altering a setting, for example change the profile to Adobe Monochrome, then change it back to what you want (that one very obvious) or perhaps increase the exposure, then place it back. Anything in Develop that will trigger a Library Preview creation. then decreasing it back
Trying to remember what occurred for me, I think selecting in Develop module a different image in the filmstrip, then select

Dear GoldingD, thank you for your help!
here is my workflow:
- I create a panorama in the panorama software exported in PSB.
- I developp it in LR and export a low compressed JPG imported in LR.
- Then, I modifiy the settings of the PSB in LR and export it again to replace the previous JPG file.
- Sometime, the preview of this JPG in the Library module doesn't change and looks like the previous JPG version. But in the Developpment module, the preview is up to date!
I found a way to correct this when I have the problem with a Virtual copy of the JPG: I create a new virtual copy which reflects the modifications and delete the previous virtual copy.
So I don't have any screenshot to share as I corrected the files with the problem!
I was asking if there is a way to regenerate a preview file?
