Copied
This is odd. I imported some recently scanned Photoshop files into Lightroom. If I edit them in Photoshop (Via the Edit/In command) the edits don't show up in Lightroom.
I did a test and Tiff and Photoshop files from camera files DO show edits made in Photoshop files. Even when I don't have the RAW files in this catalog.
More info: I do not have the "Stack with Original" checked in Lightroom. I do have "maximize compatibility" checked in Photoshop.
I use scanned Photoshop files all the time for years now and have never had any problems with the edits showing up in Lightroom. I'm not sure what has changed.
Oh, also the scanned files are in Adobe RGB and the PSD and TIFF files are in ProPhoto RGB.
Also, I tried scanned files from years ago as well as those scanned just a week ago. Same thing.
Here's an additional Test - I opened a different Lightroom catalog that is almost all scanned .psd files - did an edit and it shows up! I tried both Adobe RGB and sRGB files. Edits show up.
Relaunch the other catalog. Try to edit a scanned .psd file. Edits not showing in Lightroom.
What the?
I read a lot of the other posts on Photoshop edits not showing, but none of them seemed to apply
Right now, the only way I can see my edits is to "Edit a Copy" then they show up. This is not a very convenient solution for long term. I'm constantly editing scanned images. Thanks in advance for anything that might shed light on what's going on.
