Stack sorting

New Here ,

I am processing a large set of scanned photos using LR Classic and PS Beta. I use a stack in LR Classic to organize versions of each image starting with the initial scan and including the PS Beta file(s). I want to sort each stack by the date the file was created on my computer - not the date I may have assigned as the creation date. That is, by the OS creation date for the file (i.e. I want to preserve the processing order from initial scan to (possibly) multile PS Beta versions and intermediate versions. It would be great to do this automatically, but I can't even do it manually since I can't seem to list the OS creation date within LR Classic. Any remedies?

To see the OS creation date, you'll need to customise the Default Metadata panel (i.e. press the 'Customize' button at bottom of the panel to expose a list of metadata options.)

The only way to sort images within a stack is to manaully drag them into your preferred order. To sort them manually, you need to have the stack expanded, then drag the thumbnail image rather than the thumbnail frame.
