Stuck converting to DNG

I have updated to the recent release, and since then there has been nothing but errors.

It gets stuck converting to DNG,

The progress bar doesn't show what it's doing.

When moving photos to different folders, it just doesn't work.

Adobe, this is HORRIBLE.

Basically I can't work with this.. fix it urgently or let us go back to how it was. The problem is tha the library has been updated so even if i reinstall a copy i will lose anything I have done.

Please don't be so quick updating the program without testing EVERYTHING, the new clone tool is not worth all these mistakes.

Lightroom Classic 13.3 works fine for most people, so it's best to start looking for answers on your own machine first. You have not given any details about your computer and the version of MacOS it runs, so why don't you start with that. Another thing to try is simply redo the catalog upgrade. You say you can't do that, but you can. Open your old catalog in Lightroom Classic 13.3 and it will tell you it needs to be upgraded. It will also tell you that this catalog has already been upgraded, but you can override that and tell it you want to upgrade again nevertheless.

Some members are having various issues with the new v13.3. Perhaps the issues relate to the new database engine and some involvement with sync. YOu may have noticed a lot of complaints about busy sync to the cloud.

I have suspicions, as of yet unfounded, that the new database engine is seeing a change in how AI works, in how Masking works, in how SYNC works, and as such thinks (or perhaps knows) that photos need to be re-SYNC to the cloud, that Masks need to be updated, that Removals (Heals) need to be updated, and that photos in Publishing Service have edits and nee to be re-published. THe most performance eating one appears to be the SYNC.

• Any Face Detection running (despite thinking you had that paused)
• Any Address lookup running (despite thinking you had that paused)
