Question

Merci

before the 60 days

Maybe the above that gives me cause to think Lr not LrC, has a different explanation.

Where do you keep your photos? On a connected hard drive, or in the cloud?

Oh, or is this a MACOS thing? Is that a message from the MACOS relating to trash?

After your remove them from LrC, they are no longer in the catalog, As such, you cannot access them within LrC (unless you import them again, and you do not want to do that)

To delete them from the hard drive, you would need to use MACOS Finder to accomplish that.

Depending on your MACOS settings for the Trash, they might stay in the trash for some period of time (not fully deleted) and you might get a message (depending upon Trash settings) as to if you want to actually delete them (at perhaps 60 days)  (is not the default 30 days??)

No longer a MACOS user, so all that from memory and Google searching.

What is your Lr version?

And is this Lr Ecosystem (Cloud Based) or LrC the classic version.
