I just installed the latest Lightroom CC update, 2015.10.1 on 5/25/2017. After update, the targeted adjustment tool will not switch from the Zoom icon to the adjustment icon. The underlying function (Tone or Color adjustments) does not switch into targeted adjustment mode. Even with the adjustment tool switch selected, the zoom icon and underlying zoom function persists. I have restarted the app with no change. Have not yet tried a full reinstall. Is anyone else having this problem?

Go to the Lightroom drop down menu and select "About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom".
This will tell you the version number that you have installed. If it is not 2015.12, then you need to update.

Ok Thanks, mine says 10.1 release, even though just a few days ago an Adobe representative remotely logged-in to the computer & updated everything... I'll give this ago...

I have the latest version of Lightroom and I have the same issue. I am on a MacBook Pro 2019 and I can only get rid of the issue by restarting lightroom. After editing like 3 photos the issue comes back. When pressing W or selecting the eye dropper it will give me only the option to zoom in. How can that issue be present in 2023 still?

You’ve posted to a very old thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same issue which you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information including system information, a complete description of the problem and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.
In the unlikely event the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.
Thank you!
