unable to export images

When I export an image from LR (version 9 on a Mac) I get the dialog box.  I export to desktop and then I can't find the image.  It doesn't appear to be on my desktop at all.  It is however on my laptop desktp.  This feature used to work flawlessly in version 6.14.  I just bought this subscription and regret it!!  Where are my images going?????

I use Windows 10, and find that Lightroom Classic doesn't seem to like to save images on the desktop. So I choose to create a folder on the desktop and use that for the destination. That always works. Don't know if it's the same on the Mac because I've never used one.

You cannot find the image- IN LIGHTROOM.  Is that the case?

The exported image IS on the desktop where is was Exported!

Did you have the option checked in the Export to [Add to this Catalog]?

ScreenShot524.jpg

Without this option checked you will need to Import the files (or Folder Synchronize the Desktop ) to see them in the Catalog Library.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.5.1, Photoshop 26.10, ACR 17.5, Lightroom 8.5, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 15.1.1 .
