I normally do all my Lightroom editing on a desktop pc, but will shortly be doing some travelling where I will be using a laptop.
I plan to copy my catalogue to the laptop, and will take an external SSD with a copy of all my images.
Question is: when I return from travelling, how do I update my desktop with all the new images and edits from my travels?
Thanks

Hi, thanks for reaching out! You can move the catalog to the laptop and then back to the desktop once you're back from the trip. Make sure you take a backup of the catalog before copying it over to the laptop from the desktop.
In my personal workflow (I have an iMac and a personal laptop), my personal catalog and images are saved on a high-speed external SSD. I connect the SSD to the machine I wish to work on. However, since I'm working on the external drive, I back up my catalog more frequently than I would if it were on my desktop's internal drive.
Thanks,
Nikunj

There’s a good article (linked below) on the Lightroom Queen website about a suggested travel workflow for Lightroom Classic. I’ve done it that way.
