Please provide more detail on what exactly you are doing within Lightroom Classic. You wrote "assembled pictures on Mac" but this has no meaning in the context of Lightroom Classic. What do you mean by that? Then "went to Photomerge" - again, what do you mean exactly?

The typical way to use Photomerge in Lightroom Classic is to begin in the Grid view in the Library Module, select multiple photos that you'd like to merge together, then choose from the main menu "Photo > Photomerge > " and then choose one of the three types of Photomerge: HDR, Panorama, or HDR Panorama. What happens after that will depend on the type of merge you are attempting, as different merge types will pop up different dialog boxes.

You can find more details in this link:

Thanks for responding.

Attached are two screenshots of Lightroom Classic - one of the screenshots
display the three types of panoramic options. However, as you can see by
the "washed out" type I am not able to access any of the three options.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Did you select at least two photos and were they of the same type (RAW vs JPEG)

Downloaded 4 pictures to Lightroom Classic. Went to "photos" and then to "Merge" - but it did not carry out the Merge command. Any suggestions?

Downloaded 4 pictures to Lightroom Classic.

Do you mean Imported?

Went to "photos" and then to "Merge"

Do you mean you went to /Photos/Photo Merge/ and then selected either HDR, Panorama, or HDR Panorama?

Did you have two or more photos selected?

/reply edited/due to some possible apparent confusion

So the question still remains, did you select two or more photos before clicking on /Photos/Photo Merge/??

Following image is not a double post of my previous reply. It is an alternate screen capture where I have not selected two or more images, and as a result the HDR, PANO, and HDR PANO are not available. This to demonstrate that not selecting two or more photo will result in the issue in question.

(ignore the numberr 5 in the first thumbnail, that represents a stack of 5 that I expanded as to show a group of images that would have been selected for a Phopt Merge HDR)
