View Fuji RAW files in Mac OS Finder

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

I am using LightRoom Clasic 11.4.1 release and Camera Raw 14.4.1 release on MacOS Monterey 12.2.1.

When I use space bar for preview files (jpg, CR2, psd,...) in Finder it works perfect.

When I try to do the same with Fuji RAF files (from XT4) doesn't work!?!

Any hint?

All the best,

Ivan

You'll need to ask Apple or Fuji about that.   AFAIK, RAW files imported directly from digital cameras don't contain any embedded preview data.

The XT4 is on the Apple list of raw formats supported by macOS 12.4, so in theory the Mac Finder should be able to use QuickLook to preview it, if the camera is set to embed a preview into its raw files.

Are they compressed in any way? Because in that Apple list, footnote #3 for Fuji raw formats says “Uncompressed RAW format only.”

Ultimately Nancy’s right that this is more of a question to ask Apple, rather than a question about Lightroom Classic.
