Web Gallery Large Images are too small

The images in the ‘large’ folder are much smaller than the original.   Looks like they are cut to max 1200 pixels on long edge.  I have set the “quality” slider to 100%.   Originals are  up to 5000 plus pixels on long edge.

im using classic cc 8.1

Whats also very annoying is that the Adobe help pages are not consistent with the menus etc on screen.   Specifically the help page says you can enter max pixel sizing but there is no field for that.   It also talks about being able to set a border for large images but there is no such option on my screen.

Another problem is that its not clear how one distinguishes between the gallery template and particular instances.   The Title text seems to be only stored in the template which sort of defeats the purpose of a template.

What is going on?  This all seems rather half baked.   Or perhaps I am lol.

I had hoped to move off Picasa to using LR galleries on my own simple web site but at this point it’s looking a bit awkward.
