'Best' is relative. The easiest way is to keep your catalog and the images on a fast external SSD, and use that on both computers. Enable 'Save presets with this catalog' so both computers see the same presets.

In addition to Johan's perfectly correct answer ...

Some tried to use external devices, i.e. a Synology with settings to fully synchronize and keep local copies, some even with cloud solutions, to some avail. However, this is very error-prone, and I'd discourage you from trying a similar setup, just my 0.02 😉
