work around for importing cat from newest Lightroom version to older version

Is there a work around to importing cat from newest LRCC to an older version 10.4?

No such workaround. Catalog from LrC 11 cannot be used in LrC 10.4.

 

You could use LrC 11, for all photos that were edited in LrC 11 write metadata to xmp, and then import the photos into LrC 10.4. Lots of stuff won't come over this way, including the new masks, collections, virtual copies, pick flags, edit sequence history, and probably some other things that I can't think of right now.
