XMP Metadati file - How to automatically create them

New Here ,
Nov 03, 2022 Nov 03, 2022

Hi,

I'm using Adobe Lightroom CC for some years but I never understood this thing.

When I used Lightroom Classic I remember the app automatically created the XMP files and I loved it.

Since I've been using Lightroom CC I never found that setting again.

Please, tell me I don't have to create them manually with "Export original + Settings"

Hope you can explain me how to automate it

It's not clear which version of Lightroom you are using.

In Lightroom Classic, you set this up in the catalog settings, see screenshot below.

If you are using the cloud version, which is called "Lightroom", I don't know, never used it.

You'll have to ask in the Lightroom forum, this forum is for Lightroom Classic.

Then you can't create xmp files (apart from that export option).
