P: Refresh the User Interface

Hi Adobe,

The Lightroom Classic desktop UI looks incredibly outdated. I'm not sure there's good reason for this given its popularity. Please update the user interface to match your other software like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.

A modern, lean styling would not only look better, it would be more competitive with alternatives, and it would provide additional screen real estate for users.

Thank you.

I agree so much. I have a background in design and it pains me lol. The UI is incredibly obsolete and needs a refresh badly. Functionality needn't change at all, to address others above.

Don't waste time on cosmetics that are not needed.

The UI is just fine and seems quite adaptable to incorporating new functions and features.

I would be very unhappy with a "slimmed down" "clean" UI as that usually makes it harder to find and use features and functions requiring more navigation and many more clicks to get something down.   We don't need a race to to lowest common denominator.

I agree. The general UI layout I don't mind too much, but the menu structure seems clumsy to me, and the need to switch between Library and Develop as two completely different modules seems clunky.

I just watched this DXO Photolab 8 Review , and it reminded me of this post - the UI is so much better organised than those clunk menu structures in Lightroom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFFv7Ty5C4g

The speed and responsiveness hurt as a LrC user. Even when I use PL7 it
makes me shake my head at how much Adobe has allowed LrC to become a clunky
unresponsive tool. Every single other application I use on my laptop to
modify or handle RAWs blows LrC out of the water by a light year of a
margin.
