As a user based forum, we will not know this information, but it's a safe bet that it's something that Adobe is addressing. I understand that people become upset because they purchase a new camera and it's not yet supported by Adobe. However, it's important to remember that companies such as Nikon and Canon do not supply Adobe with the processing algorithms; this is something that Adobe must reverse engineer.
Meanwhile, you can use the Canon software to export a DNG, and then it will work with Adobe.
