Closing Reference window

Participant ,

OK, so somehow I ended up with two windows in the develop module.  A reference and an active window.  How do I get back just the one, active window, closing the reference window.

I searched all  over and can not find out how.

Hi frankraney130,

Sorry that you are seeing a reference window in Lightroom Classic CC.

Could you please share a screenshot of what you Lightroom window looks like? Does this discussion help in closing the reference window: How do I turn off the reference photo?

Thanks,

Akash

I'm having a similar issue and must have hit a button by accident last night. I understand pressing D will take away the refrence photo window, however when I begin working on a new image and crop it, a new refrence window opens. I prefer to never see that window, and until last night I never did. Is there a way to permantly shut it off?

Sounds like you're pressing Shift + R, which is the shortcut for Reference view.

The shortcut for Crop is R.
