I would expect that you-

Open Lightroom, select [Import], find the images in the folder where they "went into" the laptop, [Import] with the option 'Add' (or 'Move' if you want them in another folder)

If you are doing this but Lr gives an error message, please give more details of your procedures.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.
