LR Cat not showing new imports on 2nd computer

About a year ago I aquired a MBP and moved my images and catalog to an external SSD drive.  This way I can work on my iMac at home and when away, plug the SSD into my MBP and see all my images.  It's worked flawlessly since I bought the MBP a year ago.   Recently though, maybe with a new update to LR, new images I import into LR using the MBP don't show up when I connect the HD to the iMac.  Same catalog.  I can see all my other images on both computers.  If I plug the HD back to the MBP, the new imported/edited images show in LR.  BTW, the new raw images uploaded on the MBP are on the SSD HD, right where all my other images are.  I can't figure it out.  Any suggestions?

Another possibility is that another Catalog has opened that does not show the 'new' photos.

Check that ONLY the Catalog on the SSD is the ONE catalog yur are opening.

Screen-clips and images cannot be attached by email. (We do not see!) You need to be in a Web Browser (Safari) to 'Insert' photos from the icon above your post replies.

There have been a few reports that the upgrade has changed Import (& Export) settings.

What do you mean by  "don't show up"?

Are thumbnails Marked as "Missing" with the [!]?

Is it possible that the new photos imported (copied) to the internal drive of the MBP (and not the external SSD)?

There may be copies of the files ON the SSD drive, but the Catalog is referencing those in the MBP.

When your new photos are visible- do a [Right-Click] and [Show in Finder] to determine their referenced location.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.

By not showing up I am speaking of the panel on the right of the LR display
on the iMac not displaying the folders and images I have recently imported
using my MBP.. When viewing LR on the iMac, only the images/folders that
were on the drive prior to my import on the MBP on 11/7 are visible See
the screenshot labeled iMac and the one labeled MBP that I've attached to
this email. I've dealt with missing folders and images and it's not that.
If it were,I believe the folder would display a question mark . But in
this case, the folders just don't show up. I've checked and can say with
assurance that the images are not on the MBP hard drive. In fact, I've
included a screenshot of the LR folder on the SSD drive and you can see the
images are actually on that drive. And last, when I do click on an image
and choose "Show in Finder", LR on the MBP is referencing the external
SSD. BTW, both machines are using the latest release of LR which is V10.0.

As I said in my original post, this whole system has been working
flawlessly for about a year. I hope I'm wrong but I wonder if Adobe may
have done something to keep people from using a multiple computer
workaround like this so that we have to use LR mobile and buy space in
their cloud. As I said, I hope I'm wrong and it's an easy fix that I'm
just not seeing. Thanks for your help WobertC and to anyone else that
helps out.

You got it!  Somehow it made a copy of the original catalog (Lightroom Catalog-2-2-v10.lrcat) when I opened LR on the MBP, and named it Lightroom Catalog-2-2-v10-2.lrcat.  The only difference in the name is the -2 after v10 and I wasn't catching that until your last post.  So thanks very much.  Now that I have both MBP and iMac pointing to the same catalog, I shouldn't have any issues.  I do wonder why it did that though...

Thanks again.
