OSX Catalina Ligthroom Classic Installer hangs at 6%

I try to install Adobe Lightroom Classic in OSX Catalina 10.15.1 using the Lightroom Classic Installer (i do not want to install the Creative Cloud Client) and it hangs at 6%. What can i do?

I don't think you can do that. The creative cloud app has to be installed and you have to be logged in to creative cloud with it to install and run Classic.

Its possible to directly download the app. Its got its own installer, but that hangs at 6%.

Yes sure but you cannot install the app nor run it without having creative cloud running and logged on.
