Re-install on new PC: Lightroom 6 serial number not accepted, old PC logged off & uninstalled

Hi,

I tried to re-install my copy of Lightroom 6 on a new PC, but the licencing tool would not accept the serial number, claiming it was already used on another PC. But I logged off on the old PC, even uninstalled Lightroom on the old one, checked in the Creative Cloud App and it is not listed on the old PC, but the serial number is still not accepted because "it is already used on the maximum number of PCs".

How can I fix this - or rather who to contact to fix it?

BR,

Isabelle

You have to contact Adobe tech support and tell them you want to de-activate one (or more) Lightroom 6 installations.

Yeah, but I can't seem to find a way to contact them. The support page on the Adobe website only directs me to the forum or predefined FAQs. As there is no plan running, but it is rather a stand-alone software, I can't find a way to get in contact with Adobe customer support. Do you have any idea or direct link?

IF you registered your copy of LR 6 at Adobe, then bring up Adobe.com, Sign in, select Manage Your Account, select view Plan Details, scroll to bottom, deactivate offending computer.

Steps might differ somewhat for non subscription members.
