P: Camera-Matching Profiles: Requests and information

  • March 6, 2020

Camera-matching Profiles are applicable to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web).

Note: Not all cameras will receive camera-matching profiles.

This thread is a place to request missing camera-matching profiles for specific models. Please include a complete camera model designation and a list of the specific camera-matching profiles you are requesting in your request. If your camera is already listed in this thread, please reply to the specific camera’s post rather than just posting in-line.

Camera-matching profiles are provided for some camera manufacturers and models. As raw support is added for individual camera models, camera-matching profiles for some cameras may be added when raw support is initially offered.  Other cameras may see camera-matching profiles added at a later date. It is also possible that a specific camera may see a long delay or perhaps not ever receive a specific camera-matching profile.

Note:

ETAs for camera-matching profiles are not available. New feature announcements are only made after support is added.

Curious how long you think it will take to get profiles for the iPhone 17 Pro? I prefer switching out of the ProRAW profile into Adobe Color to make my edits. Thank you.

@ruthless685 : "Curious how long you think it will take to get profiles for the iPhone 17 Pro?"

Support for a new camera from a leading manufacturer typically comes in the LR release following the release of the camera or, less frequently, the second following release. We might expect to see LR 15.0 during Adobe Max at the end of Octob. (I have no inside information on this, and Adobe never announces such things ahead of time.)

Adding Mavic 4 Pro profiles would be very appreciated. The drone has been launched back in May, and its still impossible to edit color-accurate photos from it in LrC. Especially the red-tones during sunset are completely off.

Requesting matching profiles the Vivo X200 Ultra Phone cameras. It can output RAW from it's three cameras.

The Leica D-Lux 8 Digital Camera has Adobe Color profiles. The same camera in the 100 years of Leica Limited edition version doesn't have the Adobe Color Profiles. There appears to be a glitch in LRC that doesn't recognize the camera as a D-Lux 8

Likely that's because the metadata in the photos indicate it's a different camera model. Post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of what the Metadata panel shows for Camera, e.g.

If the metadata records a different model name, then LR can't assume it's the same sensor/lens/body/processor/firmware as another camera model.

The camera was announced 6/26/25, after LR 14.4 was released on 6/17/25.  LR is released about every 8 weeks, so we might expect to see LR 14.5 next week or the week after.

Was this your post in the Leica forum?

Hello,
I recently upgraded my drone from the DJI Mavid 3 Pro to the Mavic 4 Pro. Previously, when I loaded DNG files from the Mavic 3, Lightroom offered the 'Landscape' profile in the Basic edit panel. But now, with the Mavic 4, I am offered a smaller set of options, and the Landscape option is missing. See images...

Why is this? Is there a way to add it again? I feel the Landscape profile gives me a far better starting point in the editing process.

I am on LR Classic 14.4 on OSX 14,4

Thanks for any input you might have.

Hi @RogierBos! Thanks so much for reaching out!

One possible reason for what you're seeing is that support for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro might not be available just yet. Since it's a fairly new release, it can take Adobe around 90 days after a camera’s launch to add support. You can check the current list of supported cameras here: https://adobe.ly/4lHrvMl

That said, support for this model should be coming soon, so definitely keep an eye out for updates to Camera Raw and Lightroom. Really appreciate your patience in the meantime!

I have recently added a Nikon mirrorless camera and lenses to my Nikon DSLR equipment. I was very surprised that there are NO NIKON Z cameras or lenses listed when I use the dropdown menus. Additionally, it identifies my Nikon Z50 as a CoolPix.

Will these be added in a future upgrade??

When I change the proportion in Geometry in ACR, it requests that I have already added the lens distortion correction. This is impossible unless the camera and lens have been selected. This is important in architecture photos.

This thread is about camera-matching profiles, which Camera Raw and Lightroom use to render the raw sensor data according to the various looks provided by the manufacturers (Landscape, Portrait, Vivid, etc.). I've replied to your other post about lens profiles:

Please add the default profiles for the Leica Q3. Don't worry about Leica looks, but the standard in camera profiles would be great for raw development.

Profiles are missing in the cloud based Lightroom version for the Ricoh GR3, Ricoh GR3X, Ricoh GR3 HDF, Ricoh GR3X HDF. It looks like they were added to Lightroom Classic and Camera Raw about a year ago. Please add them to the cloud based Lightroom as well.

Can you provide profiles for Leica SL2? Thanks

My LrC is up to date (14.2) and I only use RAW when shooting. I use both a Leica Q2 and Leica CL so both are DNG files. I've checked that LrC supports those cameras but cannot locate the Camera Matching Profiles. Are they available for these cameras and if so can I be directed to where I can locate them

Thanks

@Jeff5E33: "a Leica Q2 and Leica CL ... cannot locate the Camera Matching Profiles."

The supported-cameras table shows that LR / Camera Raw provides camera-matching profiles for just a few older Leica models, the last one being the V-LUX 5 (in LR 8.4, 6 years ago):
https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html#Leica

The table shows the Q2 doesn't have camera-matching profiles while the CL does:

I believe that's a documentation bug. The actual contents of the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/Camera folder shows profiles for the C-Lux but not the CL:

@Rikk Flohr: Photography, looks like there's a documentation bug in the supported-cameras list. The supported-cameras list mistakenly says the Leica CL has camera-matching profiles, while in fact it's the Leica C-Lux.  See my previous post.
