Question

how to prevent another person to broadcast a video stream on my server FMS 4.5 ?

Hi,

It is quite easy to know the server's name, so anyone can use "flash media live encoder" and broadcast his own live stream, because there is no authentication.

Someone is using our server to bradcast football, how can I prevent this ?

Thanks,

Manuel

Hi,

You can restrict publishing through a combination of - the FMLE authentication plugin and SWFVerification.

Please go through this guide and let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Thank you Shiven, this is exactly what I was looking for.

does FMLE authentication work with FMLE 3.2 ?

I can read on the download page :

The Flash Media Server Authentication Add-In is available for all editions of Flash Media Server, and can be used with both Flash Media Live Encoder 3.0 and 3.1.
