I am a second-year student in a preparatory class for engineering schools (CPGE). As part of my scientific project, I conducted an analysis of a 3D backflip animation obtained from Mixamo (namefile: backflip.fbx).
Based on my analysis and the experiments I conducted, I have reached the conclusion that the backflip animation was created using live motion capture technology, where real-time movements are captured and virtually replicated through a suit equipped with sensors. However, it appears that the animation was deliberately extended by a few tenths of a second for artistic reasons.
To validate my findings, I would like to confirm whether my conclusions are correct. Could you please provide me with any information regarding the creation process of this specific animation? Any insights or details you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Adobe didn't make Mixamo but yes some of the animations are partly done with an older type of motion capture software as a baseline
