Hi, I would like to know what is the best way to avoid search engines from indexing a site made with Muse?
I must say that I don't know about coding (That's why I use Muse in the first place!)...Is there a simple way to do it?
Thank You!
Hi Karpe,
To avoid search engines from indexing a site, follow these steps :
1. Search engine crawler look for metadata tags in your page. You may leave the metadata empty for each page in your site.
Here are the steps to update metadata :
1. Open the page in the design mode.
2. Go to Page > Page Properties > Metadata
3. Leave Description, Keywords and HTML for <head> empty.
2. Search engine also looks for sitemap.xml to index your pages. You can uncheck the sitemap so that the page is not added to sit

Here are the steps to uncheck sitemap :
1. Open the page in the design mode.
2. Go to Page > Page Properties > Options
3. Uncheck include page in sitemap.xml checkbox.
In addition to this, you may also leave the page title empty.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /
