Hi Muse people

It's a shame that Muse Search Widgets carry additional expense for either the designer (you must sign up to Muse Gain to access them) or for the client if you use Swiftype as they need to sign up to an expensive monthly plan. I am doing a website for a charity and the monthly fee is beyond their budget. I am already an Adobe Muse member but don't want to double my monthly payments in order to get this feature.

If it helps, Google has embeddable custom widgets that operate through HTML,

which is injectable by going to

Object > Insert HTML

Custom Search Engine

It works and especially in muse!!

Just sign up and tailor your widget, size, colour styling to your liking.

Just import the HTML from google into muse (import HTML).

save the widget into your library and it's stored

Not bad for a free basic widget from google.

I was thinking of purchasing from muse widget.com but after seeing this....I'm Gob-smacked!
