I keep seeing articles from 2 years ago saying you can't make a blog in Muse, not one with key features such as comments section and forms anyway. Has this changed at all? I started using Muse at the insistence of a friend and I see its potential for websites certainly, that has been very easy. But a blog seems so difficult. I really don't want to use Wordpress because it's so unsecured with all the hacking that goes on. Any thoughts? I really would like something like this format: https://instapage.com/blog
Muse has no blog, and won’t certainly get one in the next couple of year.
The reason: A blog need a database/PHP background, which Muse doesn’t have. To provide such a environment – making sure, that it runs on any server – would be a heavy task, not to mention the difficulties for the users, who use Muse because, they are no coders!

Wow, those are pretty steep prices (for me anyway). I'm just starting out. I could see how professionals could use that though. Looks like I'm forced to use the hackable Wordpress 😕

WP is no more "hackable" than any other website. Any publicly accessible server ultimately can be hacked, it's only a matter of how much effort it takes. Contrary to your assessment, WP is far from being the worst in this regard, assuming it's updated to the latest versions and properly configured. In fact it's more likely that someone will just dump a malicious file on your Muse HTML when not hosted properly or infect your site via a malicious ad or something like that....
