My existing PSE 2018 had a message that I had to reinstall because something was corrupted. This is the message I get when I reach the final steps of reinstalling PSE 2018:

Adobe CS6 Installer” is not optimized for your Mac and needs to be updated.

This app will not work with future versions of macOS and needs to be updated to improve compatibility. Contact the developer for more information.

Now it says installation is complete and it's ready for use. Should I just press Launch Now and hope for the best? Will Adobe someday optimize the app for 64 bits and will they let me know?

Thanks.

Jan

Old programs will not be updated to 64bits... so if you have an old 32bit program DO NOT upgrade your Mac operating system

New programs will be (most already are) issued in 64bit versions

Thanks, John.

Maybe that message of incompatibility was not for PSE, but for the installer, because I looked up PSE 2018 and it seems to be 64 bit.

John, does that mean that I won't be able to work with my version 16.0 in the near future?

Kind regards, Tanja H.

Sorry, I'm talking about Adobe Elements 2018, version 16.0. The message I received was: "Program is nog optimized for your Mac and needs to be updated".

Just don't upgrade your mac to the next version of macOS which will probably be numbered 10.15 until you

hear from other users or adobe as to what works or doesn't work.
