New Here ,
Aug 22, 2025 Aug 22, 2025

When I start my Adobe Element I got a request that I should log in to my Adobe account.

When I have done that my program is locked I cant do anything more than open a picture.

If I dont get the request to log in everyting work as it should. Layers and all run smooth.

What to do? I cant jump over the log inwhe that comes up on the screen.

Basic troubleshooting
  • Verify your login credentials: Ensure you are using the correct Adobe ID and password associated with your Photoshop Elements license.
  • Check your internet connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection for proper license validation.
  • Restart Photoshop Elements and your computer: Sometimes a simple restart can clear temporary glitches.
Addressing potential software conflicts
  • Antivirus or firewall software might interfere with Adobe license files. Temporarily disable your antivirus to see if that resolves the issue; if so, add Adobe files and folders to its whitelist. Also, check system credential managers (Windows) or keychain access (macOS) for blocked Adobe entries.
  • Problems with the Creative Cloud desktop app can also cause sign-in issues. Try updating the app, logging out and back in, or using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool to remove credentials before signing in again.
Advanced solutions
  • Resetting Photoshop Elements preferences can resolve corrupted settings.
  • Renaming the SLCache and SLStore folders may help re-establish licensing connections.
  • On Windows, check LAN proxy settings to ensure "Automatically detect settings" is enabled and "Use a proxy server" is disabled.
  • If the Creative Cloud app is suspected to be the issue, uninstalling and reinstalling it might help.
  • As a last resort, a clean reinstallation of Photoshop Elements can fix corrupted installation files.

The lists / commands were greyed out out because you were in quick mode.  You need to be in "expert" (prior to pse 2025 is was call expert)  Now it's called "advanced".
