Adobe Elements 12 will not recognise Camera Raw 9.12 update

Operating on Windows 8 I have Elements 12 installed which recognised RAW files from my Canon EOS 7D camera. I changed my camera to a Canon 7D Mk2 and now encounter a warning that  'Photoshop Elements 12 Editor - Could not complete our request.....file appears to be from camera model not supported by installed version of camera raw'.

Elements 12 'Help' >'About Plug-in' > Camera Raw' screen indicates 8.5.0.236 version installed (as is supplied on Adobe installation disc) even after I have installed Adobe Camera Raw 9.12 on-line.   Initiating on-line 'Help' > 'Updates' check indicates that Elements 12 is up-to-date.

Adobe on-line Help states that Adobe Camera Raw Version 9.12 supports Canon EOS 7D Mk2, which it states as requiring Version 8.7 as a minimum.

Version 9.12 is satisfactorily installed but Elements 12 does not recognise it.

PSE12 can no longer be updated. As suggested by Michel, consider using the DNG converter app.

DNG Converter is free. You can batch convert a whole folder of CR2 images into Adobe raw (DNG) without any loss of quality and the dng files will be backward compatible with your PSE12 software

Camera raw 9.12 is not yet available for Elements 15. The latest compatible version is 9.10.

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility

I don't think it will be available to PSE15  before the expected release of Elements 16

Your best bet is to download the latest DNGconverter plugin (free, but an additional editing step).

Thanks for your reply but I am using Elements 12.  I will install the DNG Converter.
