Today my Photoshop Elements 2023 editor has stopped loading.
It loaded and worked perfectly yesterday and as far as I know nothing has changed.
I need it as I use it all the time to edit photos etc.
When I try to load it I get the message "Loading Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor Workspace..." and nothing happens.
Any help would be appreciated.

1. Turn your computer all the way off.
2. Go get a cup of coffee.
3. Look out a window, and ponder things for about 5 minutes.
4. turn your computer back on.
Doing that fixes many things. Just not a "reboot" do what's listed and give me an update.
I think I have found a solution to Photoshop Elements 2023 Editor not loading which so far has worked for me.
Load Photoshop Elements 2023
Click on Organizer
Go to Edit>Preferences>General
In General set Backup Catalog Structure to Never
Go to Media-Analysis and turn off all the checkboxes
Click OK
Exit Organizer
Exit Photoshop Elements 2023
Reboot the computer
Photo Editor should now open
Any comments would be welcome

Thanks for your reply.
I logged off and switched the laptop off last night.
This morning I switched on the laptop as usual and Photoshop Elements 2023 editor loaded as normal.
Everything is OK now but I don't know why it just stopped loading in the first place.

Typically, it's background processes ( think of a proccess like a mini program, a 1 file program that does something specific) that do not get stopped automatically When you close the program, but don't turn off your computer. After a while the program gets confused because of all these background processes are their all trying to do the same few things. Most programs use background processes- like facebook- it "phones home every 30 seconds to make sure its still connected.

Strange because I have been using my Photoshop Elements 2023 editor regularly since I installed it in 2023 and this is the first time this has occured.
Is there anyway I can stop this happening again.

Sorry to bother you again but it has happened again Photoshop Elements 2023 Editor has stopped loading.
Photoshop Elements 2023 loads OK and so does Photoshop Elements 2023 Organiser.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 2023 but still the Editor does not load.
I am using Windows 11 fully up to date with Windows Update.
I am not sure what to do next because I have used the Editor to edit all my photos which is important to me.
If I can't get Photoshop Elements 2023 Editor to work then I will have to find another image editor.
Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

@PinguJohn1 Turning off automatic backup is an interesting possible solution. I always turn it off as soon as possible because of potential performance drag. But it never occurred to me that it may be a cause of Editor failure to load issues. I will certainly keep that in mind for other users who may be experiencing similar problems.
