Will you clear something up for me?  I'm under the impression that version 13.3 of ACR simply won't work with PSE.  I can't find any documentation that says it will...

Officially no. There is no ACR13.3 version released for PSE.

But if you try the steps offered by Adobe at the link in @Jeff Arola 's post, you may find that ACR13.3 works in PSE.

roger roger.  I did it, have 13.3 ACR in PSE 2021--- it's not the same version of camera raw I see in Photoshop- that about right?   It looks just like ACR 13.0.   It's nothing  I could recommend to people- knowing, an assumption on my part, that users are after the "super zoom"- which, from my viewpoint, is over rated.

Best way I know to test it is to try opening a Raw file from a camera which is only supported in ACR13.3+.
